Any activity that requires a hands-on approach in order to create something be it from scratch or not is able to make your brain work in ways that no other activity will. The same goes for model building which is a hobby that many enjoy taking part in for hours on end. Model building also requires you to learn many skills such as sanding, painting, weathering and so on. This makes your creative side flush and helps keep your brain healthy. With model building, you can focus easier on doing one task for a long period of time especially when you're assembling a kit with a friend or family member.

Therefore Artesania Latina in Australia can be considered a well-known brand. Building a Model Ship
Frame
Building Artesania Latina model kit ships involves quite a lot of steps and the first one starts with the frame. This is where you place the bulkhead frames into the keel. Sandpaper is used in order to level any of the parts that might be misaligned.
Bulkheads
Once you're done with the first step continue by levelling the bulkheads of the model ship you're building. You need to lay the plank across the bulkheads and then take note of the space between the plank and the bulkheads. Each side of the bulkheads should be checked and then you should sand down any imperfections on the bulkheads.
Planks
Talking about the planks, you should tend to the instruction manual on how to place and affix the rest of them. Make sure to place the planks in pairs and soak them too so that they are more flexible. They should also go over the full length of the model.
Sanding
Next, you need to sand the model ship's hull. With all the planks put in place run your hands across and feel for any imperfections. Sand down any high spots or where there is too much wood filler.
Deck
When done with the sanding, add the ship's deck. This is done by following the provided instructions but make sure to fill any gaps between the planks with wood filler. Every plank should be flush and aligned before you add the glue.
Sealing & Painting
After the deck is all sorted, it's time to add either sealant or wood stain. This will help make the model stay in shape for longer as it protects it from bugs and water. Once you've sealed the model you can then paint it with either a regular or an airbrush.
Details
All that's left in the end is to add all the fine details that make any model ship a true masterpiece. These include the wheel, cannons, crew, sails, masts, quarterdeck, rigging and figurehead.
Building a Model Plane
Clean
When building a model plane you should start by cleaning the parts first. Although all Artesania Latina models might have all the parts sealed in a bag, you still should clean them with soap and water.
Assemble
Once the parts have dried up, start assembling the model with the cockpit being the first in line. You'll also want to paint the cockpit before you place it inside the fuselage.
Glue
After the assembly and painting are done on the cockpit you then need to glue the side of the fuselage. This is where you'll need to put enough glue so that it doesn't drip out. Dabbing a little bit of glue is how you'll be able to achieve this.
Wings & Tail
When assembling the wings and the tail you should be quite careful as they need to be precisely arranged together and then stuck together with glue. The larger components can be fixed with some tape in order to apply glue without anything moving.
Gaps
Gaps will be present even after you've glued together your Artesania Latina model plane. Therefore it's important to fill them up with some putty. Even the smallest gaps can make your model look bad and they too can be spotted easily despite being small. After you've used putty make sure to use some sandpaper to even out the surface of the model.
Painting
At last, comes the fun part – painting. You should paint the model plane with three different brush sizes in order to get a uniform look. Once the first coat of paint is dry, you can then add another one. You can also use an airbrush in order to make for a more professional look. When painting the canopy use masking tape so you don't go over to the clear areas and make sure to use a fine brush.
Gloss & Check
Once done painting the model apply a coat or two of gloss. When the model has dried off place the decals and you're done. Just make sure to check the model's arrangement before you display it.
